Just like other cities, Portland also has stunning zoo lighting.
Walk through glistening tunnels of Christmas colours and seasonal displays while seeing a few of your favourite zoo species with over 1.5 million lights across the park. On some nights, bring your family and friends to see the lights by car with a drive-through experience or walk-through.
Maps are also available at the walk-through food carts and gift shops.
This parade is one of the best in Portland this holiday season. It is a celebration of Christmas and one of the best parts of this city.
This parade takes place on December 1st and 2nd from 9 am - 5 pm each day. It features over 60 ships, including Santa Claus' sleigh and reindeer, marching bands, dancing elves, and more!
You can find it along the waterfront near the Convention Center.
You will witness the splendor of a holiday in Portland at its best when you watch this procession.
This holiday season, you see Santa on a train! Take an hour-long magical trip with him and his elves through Portland's wildness in the middle of the city.
The Holiday Express is not just for kids! Adults can enjoy their holiday magic at the event as well. Tickets are $15 per person and include inflatable Santa hats, cookies and cocoa and a photo with Santa Claus!

Winter Wonderland is one of the Pacific Northwest's largest holiday light displays. From November 25 to December 31, the Portland Race Track hosts the Winter Wonderland of Lights.
Drive through over 250 bright light pieces and fully animated scenes in the comfort of your car with the family.
You can see hundreds of beautifully lit trees and see how volunteers from all over Portland decorate them. This event is held at Riverfront Park from November 28th-December 31st, where you can walk through all types of decorated trees, including those made out of snow!
This event also features live music and many more activities that make it worth checking out while visiting this beautiful city!
Mayor Charlie Hales started the annual tree lighting in 2012 to bring families together to celebrate the holidays. Since then, it has become a yearly tradition for many families and friends to gather around the Courthouse Square tree for pictures and fun!
The Portland Courthouse Square Tree Lighting is one of the most photographed in the city. Held every December, it features a tree-lighting ceremony, live music and entertainment. The tree lighting ceremony begins at 5:00 pm, but arrive early to get a good spot!
