Nashville is a popular tourist destination and the bachelorette party capital of the world! With so much to see and do in the "Athens of the South," it can be tough to know what you should do on your visit. We took the time to help you know a few of the basics before you visit. This blog post will tell you all about the things you need to know before you go! Read on for some insider tips.

    1. What to wear in the city

    Nashville Vintage Tee

Nashville is a casual city, so shorts, jeans, t-shirts like our vintage city-inspired shirts, and comfortable shoes are fine for most places. However, if you're planning to visit some of the city's honky-tonks (music bars), it's best to dress up a bit.
Remember also that the weather is the most important consideration when deciding what to wear. Nashville is hot in August and cold in January, with temperatures dropping below 30 degrees. Dress appropriately for the Nashville weather. City Shirt Co is here for you. Our Nashville collections have looks for all the Tennessee seasons.

    2. Parking in Nashville

Getting around Nashville is fairly easy. The city has a good public transportation system, and walking is also an option in downtown and many other parts of the city. If you're renting a car, be aware that parking can be difficult to find and expensive.

    3. Seeing Celebrities is common at The Mall at Green Hills

Celebrities are just normal Tennessee residents in Nashville. It's common to see them in Nashville, Franklin, and other areas around the city. Celebrities such as Nicole Kidman can be seen eating at restaurants, at The Mall at Green Hills, or socializing at events in Nashville. Remember to keep your cool they're just normal Tennessee residents too :)

    4. On Sundays, limited time to purchase liquor

On Sundays, liquor stores may sell alcohol between the hours of 10 a.m. and 11 p.m. Alcohol sales are also prohibited on the following holidays: Christmas, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, New Year's Day, Easter, and the Fourth of July. This is important to be aware of. We don't want you to miss out on a good time in the south!

    5. People are so friendly!

Instead of "howdy," say "hello or hi" in Nashville. People will love to connect with you. There's a genuine sense of hospitality and desire to connect with people who travel from all around the world to visit Nashville.

    6. Nashville's Vegan Food Scene is Expanding
